Buyer guide
What this is
A complete, production-quality financial analytics frontend: 37 pages, a full component library, a demo dataset, and a documented integration layer for connecting your own backend.
What is included
- Full TypeScript source, no obfuscation, no license server, no phone-home
- 37 pages: dashboard, 4 analytics modules, 7 financial reports, 3 intelligence modules, a performance lab, customer and vendor directories with detail views, transactions explorer, budget and forecast, inventory, custom dashboard, 10 settings screens, help centre
- A deterministic demo dataset and analytics engine — 25 months of double-entry ledger data that reconciles
- 23 demo REST endpoints that double as a reference implementation of the API contract your backend needs to satisfy
- Adapter layer, HTTP adapter, mapper stubs, typed errors
- White-label configuration, 17 feature flags, 5-role permission matrix
- Real authentication: a sign-in page, signed
httpOnlysession cookies, scrypt-hashed passwords, rate-limited sign-in, and permissions enforced on the server for every data route - Export (CSV, Excel-compatible CSV, print/PDF), global search, notifications, drill-downs, dark mode, responsive layouts
- 237 automated tests, Dockerfile,
.env.example, sixteen documentation guides
What is not included
- A backend. This is a frontend. You supply the data.
- An accounting engine. It reads and presents; it does not post journals, reconcile bank feeds or file taxes.
- Your user directory. Demo mode ships five accounts with a published
password. Connecting your own users or identity provider is a documented
one-file change (
src/lib/auth/users.ts, see authentication.md). - Security for your backend. The bundled permission checks guard Numeralens's own API routes. When you connect your own API, that API must authorise its requests too.
- Real financial data. Northstar Holdings is fictional.
- Hosting, support contracts or SLAs unless separately agreed.
Who it suits
- SaaS teams needing an analytics layer over an existing finance API
- Agencies delivering finance dashboards for clients
- Accounting or ERP vendors wanting a modern reporting front end
- Internal teams replacing spreadsheet reporting
Effort to production
| Task | Typical effort |
|---|---|
| Rebrand (name, logo, colours, formats) | Under an hour |
| Turn off unused modules | Minutes |
| Connect a REST API that matches the contract | A few hours |
| Connect an API needing field mapping | 1–3 days in mappers.ts |
| Wire an identity provider | Half a day |
| Deploy | Under an hour |
Technical requirements
Node.js 20+, familiarity with React and TypeScript. No database, no Redis, no queue. Deploys to Vercel, Docker, or any Node host.
Known limitations
- Runtime settings persist per browser via
localStorage; multi-device sync requires wiring them to your API (documented). - The demo forecast is linear regression, not a statistical forecasting model.
- Static export is not supported without removing the demo API routes.
- The custom dashboard reorders with buttons rather than drag-and-drop.
- PDF export uses the browser print dialog rather than a rendering service.
Licence
Your purchase is governed by LICENSE.md in the root of this package. In short:
- Standard Licence — use in one end product, free to your end users. Modify it however you like.
- Extended Licence — the same, but you may charge your end users for access.
- Not permitted — reselling or redistributing Numeralens itself as a template, boilerplate or starter kit, or publishing its source publicly.
A separate licence is required for each end product you build. If you bought through a marketplace, that marketplace's licence governs your purchase instead.
Support
Six months of support from the date of purchase, covering defects and questions the documentation should have answered. See support.md for scope and how to report an issue.
